Rethinking Eden is the work of Gregory D. Hall, DMin.  I am first and foremost a husband (to my first wife… and high-school sweetheart) and father (to two “twenty-something” young men). I’ve been an adjunct Bible professor (George Fox University,  Corban UniversityReach Training Institute). I’m also the author of “Rethinking Rest: Why Our Approach to Sabbath Isn’t Working“.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Pacific Lutheran University (Tacoma, WA), Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Faith Seminary (Tacoma, WA), and Doctor of Ministry (DMin) in Biblical Preaching and Teaching from Knox Theological Seminary (Ft. Lauderdale, FL). My C.V. is available here.

Tour group on the Southern steps of the temple mount in Jerusalem (2008).

I’ve been a college athlete, public school teacher, real estate broker, board president, small business entrepreneur, and a licensed minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I’ve also had the privilege of taking several tour groups to Israel & Jordan. Each of the banner photos (the ones at the top the website pages) are photos I’ve taken in Israel. For those who have been, you understand how a trip like that radically changes the way one reads and understands Scripture. Those trips, and the training I’ve had in the Greek and Hebrew languages, have really opened my eyes to the theological “man behind the curtain”.

I teach whenever I can and I write when I find time. I’m excited to share somewhat unique thoughts about the liminal ministry of the incarnate Christ.
